Posted by: prixbanzon on: February 8, 2008

pal.gifThe Philippine Airlines has expanded its capacity deployed to Davao to provide tremendous boost to the fishing and agri-busiiness of the region.

No less than Philippine Airlines president Jaime J. Bautista made the assurance when he talked to the Davao businessmen. Bautista said they noted an increase in the number of passengers they carried and the cargo carriage was also higher.

He said they are returning the favor to this part of the country by enhancing the service and upgrading their operations.

They had increased to five their daily frequency year-round using the new Airbus A320.

The increase in the frequency would mean additional seven tons of cargo daily that can be available to fishermen, farmers, fruit growers and exporters of Davao.

“The steady expansion of Davao’s economy and the higher international profile attained by Davao City necessitates more international air links to sustain the city’s growth and PAL is ready to support that,” he said.
