Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food Industries in Mindanao in the offing

A Mindanao-wide Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industries is set to be organized in the island to ensure prioritization of issues of the local agri fisheries and food producers.

This came about when key agri industry players realized that they need to consolidate and update existing industry development plans to come up with a strong common framework in Mindanao.

The agricultural growers and processors in Mindanao take a unified commitment to work on various initiatives that will improve their position in the global market. The signed a declaration of commiment and support containing their planned initiatives undertaken by representatives coming from various producer association in Mindanao.

Among others, they vowed to work closely with agencies and other concerned sectors in identifying and implementing projects, build partnerships and expand inter-activities amonog member associations.

I hope this will now work as many players in agriculture are into massive production wanting to penetrate the global market.
