On Wednesdays our day is not complete without dropping by our fave place – The Marco Polo Hotel where we get the news and meet with friends. And talking of news the management of the Marco Polo Hotel is spending P50 million for the refurbishment of the hotel which started middle of last year.
The fund will be spent in setting up new facilities, like the newly-established the Deck and renovation of some of its facilities. It is the tallest structure in Mindanao and positioning itself as the primary tourist destination in the city by embarking on these new developments. The hotel will announce more things in the coming months as part of its attempt to offer new things to its clients but management has placed everything under wraps to surprise its loyal clients. The management of the nine-year old hotel is looking into making it another landmark of the tourism industry in the city as it has even garnered for the last two years the honor of being the top hotel in the Marco Polo Hotel chain in terms of customer satisfaction.
The hotel has also positioned itself as a corporate hotel, or hotels where top company executives who have transactions in the city often check into the hotel.
The hotel has very accommodating and supportive officers and each time we are there we are gladly meet by either hotel manager Stanley Lao, sales and marketing manager Art Boncato, public relations officer Karen Flores, pr assistant Meg Sta. Ines. The other officers and staff are equally accommodating and friendly. You are in good hands with these guys.
Every other Tuesdays this group of business reporters start their day with a session at the MediSpa at SM City Davao.
The place is quite and when inside you would not think you are inside a mall. Very cozy and relaxing, the management allows the reporters for the whole morning use and enjoy their facilities.
Very supportive to the group, the owner tendered a spa party so the reporters could experience how it is being done.
Each one got a spa either the hand or the feet while interviewing their resource person.
